WITH A MOMMA
Anaesthesia: local, intoxication or general (as appropriate).
Place: Organized and fully equipped clinic.
Duration: 1 – 3 hours.
Stay: from 4 hours to 1 day.
Pain: Mild, possible use of painkillers.
Swelling: Up to 7-10 days. Elastic bandages and hand elevation.
Stitches: Usually absorbable, (otherwise removed after about 12 days).
Bandages – Gauze: 3 – 4 weeks.
Normal rehabilitation: usually immediately, 3 – 5 days rest.
Work: after 1 week at least.
Exercise: After 1 month.
Final Result: Up to 6 months.
Combined: with another operation (e.g. abdominoplasty)
